Our volunteers are very special people. They come from all different walks of life and bring with them a wide variety of experience and skills. Irrespective of their background, the one thing they have in common is the desire to help others within the community.

Our volunteers are all fully trained and perform roles in reception, community support work and administration. Other roles include brochure distribution, promotional activities or assisting with community events such as our annual Christmas Hamper distribution.

All our volunteers have found that becoming involved with our centre as part of a focused and dedicated team has given them new personal opportunities, newfound confidence and skills, plus the personal satisfaction of simply being involved in their local community.

Anyone who wishes to become a volunteer is invited to attend an initial interview with our Volunteer Coordinator.

All new volunteers begin as receptionists in order to become familiar with the centre and the day to day operations.

Volunteers may be given an opportunity during this time to undertake a 50 hour accredited training course to become a community support worker (CHCCS6B Assess and Provide Services for Clients with Complex needs).

There are also ongoing training sessions provided for all volunteers throughout the year.
