Support Services

Tax Help

For those disadvantaged people in our community who have difficulty in understanding and filling out their tax forms, we operate a tax help program each year between July and October.

The program is sponsored by the Australian Tax Office and our volunteers are fully trained to provide assistance. The service is confidential and free, and is by appointment only.  We will provide clients with the help and information they need to successfully file their returns.

Anyone wishing to access the service should contact the centre in advance to arrange an appointment.

Legal Advice

The successful resolution of many disputes or personal problems may require legal advice and an integral part of our service is to refer clients to expert advice if we feel this is required.

Access to this free service is strictly by appointment.

We will arrange a suitable appointment for clients to speak with a qualified legal practitioner during normal office hours.  All appointments are at our premises at 185 High Street Hastings, unless otherwise referred.

Counselling

Our trained psychologist can offer you free individual counselling for depression, overcoming feelings of low self esteem, anxiety and stress or dealing with loss and grief.  Our psychologist also offers counselling for couples and families around a range of relationship issues such as family conflict, poor communication, separation, divorce and improving parenting skills.

Access to this service is strictly by appointment.

All appointments are at our premises at 185 High Street Hastings.
